Perth is choc a block with concerts in Summer, and it’s always great news to find that many of them are free. With so many to choose from, there is no excuse for not packing a picnic and spending some time enjoying one of our wonderful parks. This is my round up of some of the ones available free to the public over the next few weeks.
City of Stirling Sunset Veranda, Brighton Reserve, The Esplanade, Scarborough.

As part of the Summer Fringe Festival, you’ll find your perfect summer evening at the Sunset Veranda where its free to relax under the sky and enjoy live music, events and activities. There are also plenty of free shows and activities to book. For more information and for tickets:

City of Subiaco have a series of free concerts throughout Summer. 5pm-7pm
Sunday 20th January, Lake Jualbup, Shelton Park
The Perth band Proof will be providing smash hit songs from across the decades.

Murphy’s Lore with a tribute to our Aussie rock legends.
Sunday 3rd February, Market Square, Subiaco
AViiDA will be belting out energetic soul and R&B

Fremantle Arts Centre
Every Sunday afternoon through Summer the Arts Centre presents free live music 2pm-4pm
Bring along a picnic or purchase food and drinks onsite.

One Day in Fremantle.
Sunday 27th January 2019
The event will begin with a smoking ceremony at Bathers Beach at 8am, followed by Aboriginal cultural workshops and activities at Kikongo Arthouse. A musical concert will follow at Esplanade Reserve from 2-7.30pm, headlined by Sydney-based songwriter Montaigne and supported by up and coming soul singer Adrian Eagle. There will also be a range of family-friendly activities and food from around the world.

Romance under the stars, with Perth Symphony Orchestra,
Pat O’Hara Reserve, Wellington Rd, Morley
Saturday 2nd February, 7.30pm-10.30pm
The Perth Symphony Orchestra are bringing their Romance under the Stars concert to Morley, with special guests Justin Buford ( End of Fashion) and Paula Parore (AViiDA). Pack a picnic or choose from a variety of food trucks. Limited parking is available.
City of Nedlands Summer Concerts in the Park.
Every Sunday in February 5.30pm -7pm the City of Nedlands will present live music, kids activities, food trucks and more.
Sunday 3rd February, Lawler Park, Floreat.
Kick back and relax to the music of the 40’s and 50’s when Adam Hall & The Velvet Playboys bring their repertoire of jazz, rhythm and blues to entertain you.
Sunday 10th February, Mason Gardens, Dalkeith.
Monty Cotton and the Threads will be belting out some pub rock classics, rock n roll, pop and folk music.
Sunday 17th February, Allen Park, Swanbourne
Perth’s only all female cover band, The Velvet Amps will be delivering a sassy and energetic performance for your entertainment.
Sunday 24th February, Dot Bennett Park, Nedlands.
One of Perth’s most sought after party bands, HI-NRG will have you busting out a move with their renditions of classic pop, funk Motown and funk tunes.
City of Joondalup Music in the Park, Mawson park, Hillarys.
